You can turn the generator on automatically
from the software. Simply click on [Generator] and select the voltage
and current you need.
Click on [Scan] and specify a file name
to save your scan to.
Click on the [slit] tab and enter values
for tube and detector corresponding to those set on the instrument.
Click on the [scan] tab and specify the
parameters of your scan.
Now click on the [Generator] button and
set the voltage to 10.0 kV and current to 0.0 mA. This will shut the
generator down automatically when your scan is finished.
Using the PDF Creator Printer Driver
Select Print from the [file] menu and select
"PDFCreator" for the printer.
You will get the following dialog. Explore
the various options, noting in particular where the file will be saved,
then click [save]
